Bloomington, MN (October 30, 2007)

In its annual effort to provide PSA ad placement in college newspapers for organizations needing to reach youth, Campus Media Group has chosen The Campus Kitchen’s Project.

Each year, Campus Media chooses one organization that has a message it wants to share with college students. Campus Media will work with its college newspaper partners to have ads placed free of charge throughout the school year. The College Newspaper PSA Program™ will create awareness of the Campus Kitchens Project and how students can get involved on a local level to fight hunger.

Erin Yudchitz, program director for The Campus Kitchens Project said “A partnership with Campus Media Group is just good business. We can combine our strengths and mission and Campus Media Group’s marketing knowledge to inform and inspire more students on more campuses throughout the country.”

The Campus Kitchens Project empowers thousands of students each year to recycle unprepared food from their cafeterias, turn these donations into nourishing meals, and deliver those meals (along with a friendly visit) to those who need it most in their local communities.

“We know that college students have a strong desire to get involved and help those in their community,” says Jason Bakker, Director of Marketing for Campus Media. “Our goal is to provide them with tools to get something started on their campus to fight hunger in their area.”
